Boiler Upgrade Scheme — air source heat pump Open

Who it is for: Homeowners and small non-domestic property owners in England and Wales.

Scheme runs to: 2027-12-31

Conditions

  • Property must have a valid EPC with no outstanding loft or cavity wall insulation recommendations (exemptions apply).
  • Installation must be by an MCS-certified installer, who applies for the voucher on your behalf.
  • One grant per property.
  • Replaced system must be fossil-fuel or electric — not an existing low-carbon system.

Boiler Upgrade Scheme — ground source heat pump (incl. shared ground loops) Open

Who it is for: Same eligibility as the ASHP grant.

Scheme runs to: 2027-12-31

Conditions

  • Ground array or borehole must be part of the MCS-certified installation.
  • Same EPC and insulation conditions as the ASHP grant.

Oil and LPG uplift — total grant £9,000 Time-limited

£9,000 total (£7,500 base + £1,500 uplift)

Who it is for: Off-gas-grid homes in England and Wales currently heated by heating oil or LPG.

Window: 2026-07-21 → 2027-03-31

Conditions

  • Property must be off the gas grid.
  • Current heating must be oil or LPG.
  • Air-to-water or ground source heat pump, MCS-certified installer.
  • Window: 21 July 2026 to 31 March 2027 — the uplift is time-limited, the £7,500 base is not.

The uplift itself is £1,500. It takes the total grant to £9,000. Some coverage reports '£9,000 uplift' — that is wrong.
