Every figure in this table is the same figure used by the calculators, read from the same JSON file. If a number here is wrong, it is wrong everywhere — which is deliberate: there is one place to fix it.

What disqualifies people most often
- Outstanding loft or cavity wall insulation recommendations on your EPC. This is the single most common reason a Boiler Upgrade Scheme application stalls.
- Applying yourself. The MCS-certified installer applies for the voucher; you cannot.
- Replacing an existing low-carbon system. The scheme replaces fossil-fuel or direct-electric heating, not an older heat pump.

Get quotes for your property
Compare at least three installers. Ask each one for the heat-loss calculation and the design flow temperature in writing — that number decides your running cost more than the brand on the box.
