Is this heat pump quote reasonable? Check it in 60 seconds
Paste the four numbers from your quote. This compares them against the heat loss your property should have, the price range for that output, and the flow temperature the SCOP implies — then tells you exactly which question to ask about whichever one looks wrong.
The link carries your inputs, so you can bookmark this result, send it to whoever you share the bills with, or paste it under a forum question. Nothing is stored on a server — the numbers travel in the address bar.
How the check works
Four comparisons, each against something published: the heat loss your house type implies, the price per kW normal in this market, the SCOP range measured in real houses rather than laboratories, and whether a design flow temperature was stated at all. Three of the four can be wrong in a quote that is still honest — it just means the installer has not shown their working. The fourth, a missing flow temperature, means there is no working to show.

Get quotes for your property
Compare at least three installers. Ask each one for the heat-loss calculation and the design flow temperature in writing — that number decides your running cost more than the brand on the box.
